Hello cricket fans,

Welcome to the latest update of The Inside Edge Substack which aims to shine a light on Scottish cricket at all levels through twice-weekly newsletters (plus bonus updates as and when required).

The Inside Edge is a subscription service at £5 per month (just 13 pence more than the average cost of a pint of beer in Scotland), which allows us to invest in our coverage by commissioning professional journalists.

This project is not viable without the support of the Scottish cricketing community, so if you would like to help us to continue showcasing the sport by becoming a paid subscriber then click on the button below 👇

In this week’s Monday wrap …

  • Success for Scotland A (Men and Women) ahead of summer schedule starting in earnest today

  • Huntly come close to causing an upset in Scottish Cup

  • Vigilant Dumfries survive the weather to climb to fifth in Western Premiership One

AFTER a long build-up, Scotland Men’s home summer schedule kicks-off today against Nepal at Forfarshire’s Forthill ground with a Cricket World Cup League Two One Day International at 11am, which will be streamed live via ICC TV.

Five other matches involving these sides and Netherlands then take place there up until June 12th before six T20Is at Clydesdale’s Titwood ground from June 15th to 20th.

Before that action gets underway, here’s a round up of recent days in Scottish cricket.
